English Solutions “Scream For Charity” Halloween Fun Day

ANNOUNCEMENT

After deep discussions with the Mercy Center, English Solutions have decided that it's best to postpone the "Scream for Charity" event until the flooding situation stabilizes.

Both ES and the Mercy Center are disappointed to postpone, but at the same time we know it's in the best interest of the children and the volunteers.

We will come back, bigger and better, in November/December with our "A Nightmare Before Christmas" Event.

We hope that over the next few days you all stay safe, dry and stress-free.

The 9th Annual “Scream for Charity” Event - providing edutainment to local underprivileged children and raising community awareness.

Since 2003, the English Solutions team and its clients and partners have joined together each October to bring to life the “Scream for Charity” Halloween Fun Day.  The aim of the event is to interact in a hands-on way with underprivileged Thai children from various orphanages and child support centers.

English Solutions is a socially responsible company focused on 'adding value' for organizations and individuals via customized, results-oriented professional and personal programs that meet the specific neeeds of our clients.

This year, over 500 children including all the Mercy children from the Human Development Foundation, have been invited to join us for a day of fun-filled, Halloween-related treats and activities.

Please join us in brightening the lives of these children in a tangible and lasting way.

There are three main ways to get involved:

  1. Be an Event Sponsor - donations received will provide ice cream, food, candy and other treats for the kids. You can designate what item you want to sponsor.
  2. Support a Game - we encourage your team members to get actively involved and join in the fun by setting up a game for the kids. Prizes are encouraged!
  3. Donate an Item - these children rarely get nice stuff, so t-shirts, toys, candy, etc. are great. The smiles when the kids leave the Event with their loot tell it all.

Location: HDF Mercy Centre (100/11 Kae-ha Klong Toey 4), Bangkok (parking available). Please see map.

  • Sponsors may drop off donations at the Mercy Center
  • ES Team sets up the "Haunted House"
  Date To Be Announced
  8.00 am ES Team arrives for final preparations
  10.00 am Volunteers arrive to be assigned a station and to change into scary costumes
  11.30 am Volunteers have lunch and ES Team provides briefing
  12.00 pm Haunted House opens its doors to 250 underprivileged children from the HDF Mercy Center
  2.00 pm Haunted House closes its doors to prepare for the second round of children and time for our ghostly volunteers to rest
  2.20 pm Haunted House reopens for another 250 children
  4.00 pm Haunted House closes it's doors and children "trick or treat"
Activities: Live Haunted House, Trick-or-Treating, Bobbing For Apples, Bouncy Castle, Pin The Nose on The Pumpkin, Face Painting & Much More!
Rules:
  1. Dress to Impress,
  2. have lots of fun interacting with the kids, and
  3. enjoy the fact that you made a great difference in the lives of 500 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, contributing to your local community.
